FAQ About Sunless Tanning:
Q. What is in a spray tan that makes the skin turn color?
A. The active ingredient is DHA, a three-carbon sugar that interacts with the outermost layer of skin to produce a natural-looking color similar to the sun’s effect, but with no damage.
Q. Does a spray tan provide UV protection?
A. No! You must still use a broad spectrum UVA/UVB sun protection cream every few hours when in the direct sun.
Q. How long does the color last?
A. Your sunless tan will last 7 to 10 days depending on how you maintain it and how long your skin takes to naturally slough off. For best results exfoliate thoroughly before the service and moisturize often afterwards.
